Kayla and Marcus’ first look took place in a small shaded garden. This intimate setting was very different from the open area of their wedding ceremony perched on the top of a stone staircase outdoors. With the sun beaming down on their wedding aisle, Kayla walked to Marcus and met him in front of their staggered half arches. Beside the half arch structures, oversized floral arrangements with greenery and white flowers extended their altar space, creating a larger than life backdrop that tied in their natural ceremony setting.

Kayla’s first bridal gown was a jaw-dropping Ines Di Santo ballgown. Wearing ‘Quice’ by Ines Di Santo, Kayla looked regal as she walked down the aisle. The dramatic bodice of Quice fit perfectly and from certain angles you could see the subtle mesh sides of the gown.

Kayla added her own spin to this bridal look by pairing this strapless silk satin ballgown with a high neck bridal topper. The topper’s elegant chantilly lace wrapped around Kayla’s waist and neck. Holding the custom bridal topper together was soft tulle that created a beautiful draped texture among the boning of Quice’s bodice.

Embellished Wedding Fruit Decor

Following the ceremony, guests made their way to cocktail hour. Upon walking up to the wedding bar, Kayla and Marcus’ loved ones saw a custom bar sign listing the various wedding beverages available. Beside this sign, sat an organic floral arrangement as well as a bowl full of pearl embellished fruit. Filled with green apples and pears, the top pieces of fruit were decorated with pearls and white ribbons tied to the stems. Chic and trendy, their unique fruit wedding decor didn’t go unnoticed.

Custom Wedding Ice Luge

Another incredible bar feature was Kayla and Marcus’ custom ice luge. Complete with their initials and two images of palm trees, this ice sculpture was a fun experiential addition that many guests got to enjoy.

Later in the evening, Kayla would change into a second Ines Di Santo bridal look. Wanting to wear a reception look that sparkled underneath the chandeliers, she opted for a beaded reception dress that had a feathered skirt.

With her reception change complete it was time to cut their wedding cake. Kayla and Marcus mixed tradition with trend when choosing an elegant bow wedding cake. Selecting a simple two tier wedding cake, their vision was to have an oversized chiffon bow tied to separate the two tiers. Serving as a work of art during their reception, this bow wedding cake enchanted guests all evening.

The sun began to set and the reception decor took on an even dreamier ambience. Palm trees swayed in the distance and glass chandeliers illuminated Kayla and Marcus’ long greenery covered wedding tables. The medley of opulent decor with whimsical finishes felt fitting for their nighttime celebration.

As the night unfolded, the magical atmosphere of The Royal Palms Hotel made their al fresco reception quite memorable. Kayla sums up their day in the most eloquent way saying, “We were surrounded by all the people that meant most to us under the Arizona sky & I got to marry my best friend! What more could anyone ask for?”
