Timeless Country Club Wedding at Marbella Country Club in California

Searching for a wedding venue that combines nature with elegant architecture is no easy feat. But #AnnaBeBride Jansen and Dirk seemed to find the perfect place when selecting Marbella Country Club as their wedding setting. This elegant Southern California wedding venue had a lush landscape and Mediterranean-inspired courtyards. Taking full advantage of the venue’s open air concept, Jansen and Dirk’s wedding vision quickly became a reality.

Simple Outdoor Wedding Ceremony on the Lawn

The pristine grounds of Marbella Country Club was where Jansen and Dirk chose to host their wedding ceremony. With a well-manicured lawn, shrubbery, and a water feature in the distance, there wasn’t much Jansen and Dirk needed to do to decorate the space. They added white folding chairs to create a grassy aisle and marked every other row of chairs with a grounded floral arrangement.

White Floral Wedding Ceremony Arch

At the end of the aisle stood a circular ceremony arch adorned in greenery and white flowers. Framing the aisle and the altar, this classic floral arch was at the center of many of Jansen and Dirk’s wedding photos. Blending in with the natural beauty of the country club’s lawn, this classic ceremony arch added just the right amount of statement detail.

Silk Wedding Dress with High Neckline

Jansen really wanted an elegant wedding dress that would exude timeless charm. When shopping at our Minnesota bridal boutique, Katherine Tash’s graceful bridal designs caught Jansen’s eye. Consisting of mostly sleek silk silhouettes and a variety of necklines, Jansen quickly gravitated towards ‘Bella’ dress.

This high neck wedding dress was a beautiful balance between modern and timeless. Transporting Jansen back to a vintage-inspired wedding aesthetic, the gown’s low cowl back felt glamorous.

Courtyard Wedding Reception at California Country Club

After the ceremony, Jansen and Dirk continued taking wedding photos while guests walked across the venue’s grounds to begin their cocktail hour. While guests were distracted, Jansen took this time to go view their wedding reception area for the first time. Walking among their round tables draped in tablecloths, Jansen observed the many details her and Dirk had spent picking the last couple of months. The outdoor nature of the wedding reception space was relaxed, but it also had plenty of elevated details to make it feel more formal. Crisp white linens, metallic chargers, white floral arrangements, and sparkling glassware decorated each wedding table. Bistro lights hung above the courtyard and patio, creating a lively atmosphere overlooking the golf course.

Traditional Wedding Cake with Flowers

As the sun set, Jansen and Dirk made their way to their traditional wedding cake. Displayed with small votive candles and two champagne flutes, the table was prepared for their arrival. The cake, a three-tiered masterpiece, consisted of a textured white icing and flowers neatly arranged to trickle down each layer.

Though they enjoyed the sweet treat, the late night snack of In-N-Out was perhaps the most exciting meal of the day! Sporting In-N-Out iconic paper caps, Jansen and Dirk bit into the burgers simultaneously, kissing afterwards to seal the deal.

A fun night spent under the stars with their closest family and friends, Jansen and Dirk are so appreciative of the memories their big day created. Classic beauty and their own personal touches came together to create a special day they’ll cherish forever.
