a golden hour new orleans wedding featuring a ines di santo chic ball gown.

Sharing many hospital cafeteria meals, #AnnaBeBride Sarah and Trey met while training to become physicians in Denver, Colorado. Sarah recalls their instant connection by sharing, “it’s no secret we fell in love immediately, and every day has seen our love grow even more”.

When it came time to celebrate their love, Sarah and Trey chose New Orleans as their destination of choice. Friends and family traveled from across the country for a fun long weekend full of celebration and toasts.

DESTINATION NEW ORLEANS WEDDING

Since their loved ones traveled so far, Sarah and Trey made sure to incorporate meaningful events and local activities that would excite their guests and make their Louisiana destination wedding memorable.

From arranging a New Orleans ghost tour to hosting a charming rehearsal dinner in the Garden District, guests were well fed and entertained the entire time. Their rustic Garden District rehearsal dinner, close to antique shops and casual cafes, was just the start of the sites their historic NOLA nuptials would offer.

NEW ORLEANS HOTEL WEDDING

Choosing a unique and classical wedding venue for their big day, Hotel Peter and Paul in New Orleans, Louisiana was the perfect place for their lavish intimate wedding. A former convent, Hotel Peter and Paul’s school house "was converted into hotel rooms that we and our guests stayed in” Sarah shares.

ANTIQUE CHURCH WEDDING CEREMONY

For their wedding ceremony, the hotel’s restored church was a welcome respite. A short walk from the French Quarter, the grand hall had a cathedral-like appearance and so many artistic details. With elegant plaster columns arising to form archways and painted frescos adorning the high ceiling, the antiquity of this revived decommissioned Catholic church is not easily missed.

From mahogany Chiavari chairs and white glass candle lanterns lining the aisle, their stately church wedding venue was calming and effortlessly romantic.

Greeted at the altar with arched green ceremony floral installations by Urban Earth and a shelf full of lit candles, Sarah and Trey exchanged vows in the flicker of candle lit and soft pastel reflections of the colorful murals and old stained glass windows that surrounded them.

BEST FRIEND WEDDING OFFICIANTS

Who better to officiate your wedding than your best friends? Sarah and Trey selected their closest friends to stand by their side at the altar. “Our best friends, Nina and Patrick, co-officiated an intimate ceremony for about 70 guests.”

GLAM GOTHIC WEDDING RECEPTION

After the ceremony, guests made their way to another area of the event space that was set up for a classy wedding reception. Complete with long wooden banquet tables, candelabras covered in greenery, and more intricate stained glass windows, the reception space welcomed guests in glamor and charm.

From sneaking down winding corridors to their sweetheart table situated to look out over their entire party, Sarah and Trey were able to steal sweet moments of solitude while also enjoying this exciting time with their friends and family.

Everyone enjoyed a seated dinner, lively dancing, and their lavender lemonade. When it came time to indulge in dessert, Sarah and Trey cut into a wedding pie with a traditional bride and groom topper affixed to the dollops of icing and walnuts.

NOLA BAR WEDDING AFTER PARTY

After scrumptious slices of various pies were served, it was time to embark on their sparkler wedding exit. Walking down the church’s concrete steps, Sarah and Trey were ready to start the second leg of their extravagant wedding party. Moving the wedding celebration to a bar down the street, their friends and family followed shortly behind them.

The dancing and drinks continued in true New Orleans style. Sarah shares one of her favorite moments of the lively wedding after party saying, “our after party even featured a surprise performance by the groom on the drums- the highlight of the night”.

CLASSIC INES DI SANTO BALLGOWN

Much like the theme of Sarah and Trey’s entire wedding weekend, Sarah’s Ines Di Santo ballgown wedding dress was sophisticated, but also playful. The silk satin material of ‘Quice’ by Ines Di Santo was refined while the peekaboo sides and flirty skirt slit created contemporary appeal.

A luxury wedding dress for the trendsetting bride, Sarah styled her modern bridal ballgown with classic neutral pumps, statement earrings, and an oversized floral embroidered cathedral veil.
