Dreaming of a destination desert wedding? #AnnaBeBride Katie and Jayson’s trendy Arizona desert wedding was full of pampas grass, palm leaves, and a terra-cotta wedding color palette. If you love simple wedding dresses and funky wedding decor, you’ll love every detail of their stylish Scottsdale, Arizona wedding.

COLORFUL CONTEMPORARY INVITATION SUITE

The second we saw the flat lay of Katie and Jayson’s custom colorful wedding invitations, we knew their desert wedding theme was playful and bright. Their ivory wedding envelopes had vintage nature stamps in the upper right corner and an orange retro font that was fun and simple. The inside of their wedding invitation envelopes held a custom landscape painting that was perfect for their Arizona nuptials. With a colorful Arizona desert watercolor envelope liner, it was clear that no detail was too small when it came to their luxe destination wedding.

Included in their wedding invitations were wedding detail cards with cactus cutouts. Arches were a popular design and sunray icons were placed at the top of a few arches to add further desert details. With natural elements such as a woven ring holder and a vintage-inspired engagement ring placed beside the invitation suite, the flat lay styling was impeccable.

SIMPLE EVA LENDEL WEDDING DRESS

Since Katie and Jayson’s wedding day included so many shades of color, we loved that Katie wore a simple wedding dress that contrasted their striking wedding color scheme. ‘Debora’ by Eva Lendel easily added clean lines and a smooth silhouette that stood out among the rocky terrain and organic texture of their outdoor wedding ceremony in Apache Junction.

Their wooden ceremony arbor was covered with dried florals, orange blossoms, and pampas grass. Placed in front of a fence with greenery growing all over, guests could stare out over the top of the fence and take in the vast mountainscape in the distance. Surrounded by views of the Superstition Mountains, The Paseo offered an ideal private outdoor wedding venue for their elegant desert wedding ceremony.

Holding onto a bright bouquet of fresh flowers, Katie walked down the aisle in her Eva Lendel wedding dress and a long tulle veil. Wearing her hair down in glam bridal waves, the luxuriously laidback style of her crepe-satin wedding dress took everyone’s breath away.

DESERT WEDDING ARIZONA

Looking exquisite, Katie’s dramatic bridal train trailed down the aisle, followed by her delicate cathedral veil. Guests stood in the grassy courtyard as she took her first step onto the concrete altar.

Both smitten, Katie and Jayson exchanged vows under the blue sky, surrounded by their closest family and friends. Exiting their outdoor wedding ceremony to the sweet serenade of a cello, it was time to start soaking in their wedding reception with the loved ones that had come from all over to celebrate this big day.

STYLISH RETRO SEATING CHART

This retro acrylic wedding seating chart was one of the first things guests saw as they walked into Katie and Jayson’s colorful reception. We love the color blocking technique and the clear middle that featured the potted cacti placed behind the sign.

This peach pink seating chart matched the wedding invitations and even included a special detail for their loved ones who couldn’t be there for their big day. A miniature seating chart, in front of the larger wedding sign, listed the names of family and friends who had passed. If you’re searching for a heartfelt way to honor deceased loved ones at your wedding, definitely keep this unique seating chart idea in mind.

INDOOR-OUTDOOR WEDDING RECEPTION

From the lofty ceiling of the indoor area of their reception to the outdoor pergola that was decorated with bistro lights and fringe lanterns, their bohemian glam desert wedding style clearly continued into the reception party too. With a silver disco ball hanging above the dance floor, guests boogied all night long. Katie and Jayson even stole a kiss under the mirror ball, hence this seriously epic wedding photo.

SHAG WEDDING CAKE

Want an alternative wedding cake? We love wedding desserts and enjoy it when couples take creative liberties when crafting their dream wedding cake. In the case of Katie and Jayson, they had two small wedding cakes to cut when it came time. One cake was a tiered orange wedding cake with palm leaves and dried flowers adorning a side.

Their other wedding dessert was a one-tier shag rug cake style. This textured wedding cake was made from freeform piping that looked like grass tips covering the entire cake. Its eye-catching appearance and fuzzy textured buttercream ensured the night ended on a super sweet note.

SCOTTSDALE WEDDING AFTERPARTY

Making sure the party didn’t stop after their reception, Katie and Jayson planned an afterparty at a local bar nearby. Katie changed into comfy bridal sneakers, while Jayson wore a baseball cap.

As can be seen in the candid bride and groom cheek kiss photo at the bar, Katie and Jayson made sure that every moment of their wedding day was a reflection of their relationship and fun-loving style.
