Great Gatsby Inspired Wedding in Downtown Dallas, Texas
Inspired by the extravagance of Great Gatsby, #AnnaBeBride Kala and Ryan set out to make their own modernized Great Gatsby inspired wedding in Downtown Dallas. Setting the tone for their lavish day was their historic wedding venue. Selecting The Carlisle Room, their sophisticated celebration included grand architecture, marble walls, and terrazzo floors. Paired with Kala and Ryan’s black and white wedding color palette, their wedding was luxurious and elegant.
Dress Shopping at anna bé Texas
When shopping for a wedding dress that would fit The Carlisle Room’s stately charm, Kala visited Dallas’ Design District. Entering the airy boutique of anna bé Texas, Kala instantly knew her dream gown wasn’t far away. After browsing racks of designer wedding dresses in Texas, Kala became smitten with clean lines and tailoring.
Finding an Allison Webb wedding dress that fit her vision perfectly, Kala said yes to ‘Carson’ by Allison Webb. With a modern fit and flare silhouette and a peaked neckline, Kala’s timeless gown was ready for the spotlight.
Black and White Wedding Ceremony Details
Bold Wedding Ceremony Seating
Kala and Ryan’s wedding ceremony took place in a bright room decorated with archways and crystal chandeliers. The white floors gleamed and the chandeliers black iron trim matched the sleek black chairs at either side of the aisle. Their striking black and white color palette and bold wedding ceremony seats created a dramatic visual effect.
Mirrored Wedding Altar
At the altar, mercury mirror glass created a beautiful framed background. With oversized floral arrangements placed in glass vases in front of the oversized mirror panes, their timeless wedding altar was posh as well as beautifully decorated.
Monotone Wedding Bouquet
In contrast to the black wedding chairs, Kala held an all-white floral arrangement. This lush monotone wedding bouquet was minimal and didn’t overpower the modern details of Kala’s bridal look like the structured wedding dress or embellished bridal veil.
Luxe Wedding Reception Touches
Intimate Champagne Tower
With so many grand touches, Kala and Ryan opted for an intimate champagne tower display to toast to their marriage. Guests surrounded the couple as they watched them pour two bottles of bubbly into the glasses. A classic photo op and a moment to bond with guests, Kala and Ryan’s champagne tower added a traditional flair to their contemporary wedding reception.
Acrylic Tiered Wedding Cake
Besides the champagne tower, another statement reception display was Kala and Ryan's wedding cake with clear acrylic layers. Their white wedding cake had a polka dot pattern on several of the cake tiers, as well as flowers organically placed throughout. One of the cutest details of this modern acrylic wedding cake was their dog peeking out from under a layer of fondant.
At the end of the night guests gathered on the curb to see Kala and Ryan off. Walking through a tunnel of loved ones throwing flower petals, Kala and Ryan danced to their live band playing on the sidewalk. Overflowing with awe over every moment Kala shares, “It was the most elegant fun beautiful day I could ever imagine”.
