Military Mountain Elopement In Colorado: Real Wedding — Lina + Sean

FEATURED WEDDING DRESS DESIGNER

Rebecca Schoneveld

A Telluride micro wedding that felt like an absolute fairytale. From a wildflower field at the top of the mountain to champagne toasts with stunning views of Colorado, #AnnaBeBride Lina and Sean celebrated their wedding day in total style.

REID BY REBECCA SCHONEVELD WEDDING DRESS

Wildflower hikes in Telluride, Colorado are a common pastime, but imagine walking through wildflower fields while wearing a flowy floral wedding dress. Lina discovered her dreamy Rebecca Schoneveld ‘Reid’ gown at Anna Bé Bridal Boutique Colorado and couldn’t believe how perfect it was for their mountain top elopement.

The 3D blossom scatters full tulle skirt contrasted against the simplicity of Reid’s silk crepe bodice and thin spaghetti straps. With this Rebecca Schoneveld dress skirt being so textured, Lina blended beautifully with the flowers that surrounded their remote mountain ceremony space.

While the dimensional floral embroidery of this Rebecca Schoneveld a-line wedding dress was airy and whimsical, Lina added elements of tradition with an off-the-shoulder lace topper and a cathedral lace trim veil. From walking down a flower-filled hillside with the lace beginning a fingertip-length and trailing delicately behind her, Lina was a vision.

LIGHT BLUE WEDDING SHOES

Complimenting her contemporary wedding dress and classic bridal accessories were her blue Harriet Wilde wedding shoes. This London-based luxury bridal shoe designer is known for its bespoke designs and personalized sole shoe message. On the bottom of Lina’s light blue block wedding heels were messages that read ‘Mr and Mrs Brady’ and ‘Est. 07.16.22’. If you’re looking for blue wedding shoes with a low heel, we’re certain you’ll love this custom shoe designer.

RAINY MOUNTAIN WEDDING

While a rain shower did interrupt their wedding photos, Lina and Sean didn’t let that stop them from documenting the sweet time spent with their closest family and friends. Everyone took cover under big white umbrellas, creating a candid wedding photo that captured the true adventure Lina and Sean wanted to achieve during their intimate Colorado outdoor elopement.

As drops of rain came from the cloudy sky, Lina and Sean cozied up in a close by truck waiting for the storm to pass by. Smiling at each other and eager to continue the celebration, this original bride and groom photo idea is one of our favorites.

MILITARY WEDDING TRADITIONS

Several military wedding traditions were incorporated into Lina and Sean’s summer wedding in Colorado. Sean wore his white Navy uniform for some segments of the wedding before changing into another uniform that matched his other wedding party members.

Besides the Navy wedding uniforms themselves, their medals were placed where many may expect to find boutonnières at a wedding. The close up shots of their colorful medallions and the group photos in uniform featured countless military wedding traditions.

ARCH OF SWORDS

Wrapping up their awe-inspiring mountain elopement by walking under this sword tunnel, Lina and Sean looked delighted with their romantic wedding exit. This arch of swords military custom is common and definitely served as an incredible photo op at the end of their beautiful Western Colorado elopement ceremony.
