A colorful wedding at a childhood home. From the garden party wedding theme to the telephone audio guestbook, #AnnaBéBride Allison and Tim created a charming backyard wedding with manicured gardens and rustic romance.
BAR LOVE STORY
Allison and Tim met at a bar and their conversation is what made them realize they had found something special. Allison explained that they were both “so enamored with the quality of conversation” that they didn’t stop chatting all night. After meeting they went on a date 2 weeks later and the rest is history.
GARDEN WEDDING THEME
Getting married in the backyard of Allison’s childhood home, their wedding morning was spent roaming the lawn and having first looks on the brick pathway. Allison posed near a metal pergola arbor covered with florals that perfectly matched their garden wedding theme. From the greenery and ivy-covered walkways with oversized step stones, to the tree branches that enclosed their garden entrance, all of these elements added to the sense of whimsy surrounding their special day.
MONIQUE LHUILLIER WEDDING DRESS
With their wedding venue being an English Tudor home and the decor being reminiscent of a romantic English garden wedding theme, this Monique Lhuillier ball gown was a dream. Finding her floral wedding dress with color at Anna Bé Minnesota, Allison fell in love with this 'Tuileries' by Monique Lhuillier dress instantly.
This off-the-shoulder wedding dress may have had sleeves, but it was ideal for their summer garden wedding. With a fun front slit and allover floral pattern, Allison made a sophisticated bridal statement in this chic multi-colored wedding dress.
JIMMY CHOO WEDDING SHOES
Not only did her Monique Lhuillier bridal gown turn heads, but so did her pink Jimmy Choo wedding heels. These luxury designer wedding shoes had darling tulle bows accenting opposite ends of the heels. One pair had a bow on the strap while the other had a bow on the ankle. Adding to the allure, was the fact that the gown’s high side slit allowed the shoes to be seen throughout their big day. With both detail shots and stair photos showing off these captivating bridal heels.
FLORAL WEDDING CAKE
After their ceremony, everyone gathered in the yard to enjoy an exciting cocktail hour and dinner under the airy wedding tent. Their dessert table was set up with an elegant wedding cake accented in edible flowers. This two-tiered wedding cake had gold leaf, branches, flowers, and even butterflies decorating the surface. Allison and Tim’s forest-inspired wedding cake was accompanied by a display of cupcakes and other tasty treats for guests to enjoy.
TELEPHONE GUEST BOOK
Another original decor piece at Allison and Tim’s outdoor reception was their telephone audio guest book. This playful take on a guestbook was a fun twist to the traditional signatures and notes left in a book or on a photo frame. On a small table adorned with a white tablecloth, there was a pink telephone with a cute note leaving instructions for guests wanting to participate. Many of Allison and Tim’s friends and family members picked up the phone and left a message of encouragement and celebration for the happy couple.
SIMPLE GARDEN PARTY DECOR
As guests made their way into the tented reception, they saw round tables covered with neutral tablecloths and wooden cross back wedding chairs. Planters overflowing with colored flowers could be seen in the middle of each table and table heights alternated from high to low to accommodate the various wedding activities of the evening.
LIVE WEDDING BAND
Following their reception meal, guests flooded the dance floor. A local live band performed all sorts of ballads and everyone danced as the sun began to set on this beautiful wedding day. The cool summer breeze and lively dance party was the perfect end to their elevated outdoor June wedding.
