MOVING FOR LOVE
Every great love story has its fair share of twists and turns. The best twist of this particular one happened when #AnnaBeBride Kelly and Ryan actually fell in love. After being best friends for four years, they decided to give romance a shot and have never looked back.
From a budding friendship in Illinois, dating long distance, and eventually making a home together in Colorado, it seems like the biggest twist of their love story was them not realizing they were in love sooner. Kelly shares, “the majority of our guests knew we were meant to be - it just took us a little longer”.
BUENA VISTA, COLORADO WEDDING
Getting married at Surf Hotel and Chateau in Buena Vista, Colorado created a countryside chic wedding backdrop for their wedding of celebration. Their ceremony took place in a secluded courtyard. Soft tree branches added color to their surroundings, while the white metal folding chairs faced a large stone archway. This archway was adorned with greenery and flowers, making it the simple and romantic wedding altar they always wanted.
This arched stone wedding altar led to a staircase on the other side where Kelly and Ryan posed for wedding portraits. From photos together, to family wedding portraits, we love the way they used their ceremony space to accommodate a range of wedding photos.
After their ceremony, guests made their way inside to dine at long wooden farm tables. Their menus had watercolor artwork of a forest painted at the bottom. Sitting on top of folded white napkins with light green lines at the top, their neutral and green wedding color palette was stunning.
Greenery and white candles lined the center of the tablescape and the space’s large arch windows let in so much natural light. Being that arches are a big part of our Anna Bé brand, it was fun seeing this architectural element in several parts of Kelly and Ryan's big day. From doors, windows, hallways, and more, their cozy boutique hotel wedding venue offered so many charming details.
INES DI SANTO WEDDING DRESS
Kelly discovered her dream dress, ‘Quice’ by Ines Di Santo, at our Anna Bé Colorado bridal boutique. Saying yes to this silk satin strapless ball gown set the tone for her bridal style. Wearing her hair in a low bridal ponytail, Kelly was able to show off the unique tulle peekaboo sides of this dress. This wedding hairstyle also allowed her crystal chandelier drop earrings to glisten throughout the night. These dainty drop earrings by Jade O’i complimented her structured wedding dress as well as her classic gold engagement ring.
WEDDING DOG MOMENTS
Kelly and Ryan’s dog, Dublin, not only got to join in on the fun, but was featured at the reception. From getting photos with this sweet golden retriever, to having his face featured on their wedding table cards, Dublin was undoubtedly loved by all present.
SPARKLE STREAMER DANCE FLOOR
As the end of the evening approached, everyone made their way to the dance floor. When sharing details of her wedding, Kelly recalled the "incredible dancing” of the weekend and these photos prove the absolute fun that was had.
Right before the night came to a close, silver streamers shot out everywhere. As most continued to dance through the silvery confetti shower, Kelly and Ryan's timeless June wedding wrapped in the best way.
