WHY PLAN A DESTINATION WEDDING?
For some, a destination wedding can be as simple as wanting a unique setting for your special day. When it came to Olivia and Cole, their decision to get married in Cabo, Mexico held a deeper meaning. “Ever since I was a little girl my dad always told me to have a destination wedding. When the time came to plan my wedding, I knew a destination wedding was the way to go! Cabo held a special place in Cole's family's heart as that is where his brother got married in 2009.”
BEST WEDDING VENUES IN CABO, MEXICO?
Wanting to make their big day their own, Olivia and Cole set out to find a unique venue for their destination nuptials. “We found the Grand Solmar online and automatically fell in love.” The oceanside views of this Cabo San Lucas wedding venue blew both Olivia, Cole, and their guests away. Taking the week to relax and spend quality time together, Olivia found the week-long vacation with family and friends to be one of the best parts of planning a destination wedding.
WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN PLANNING A DESTINATION WEDDING?
One of the downsides of planning a destination wedding is the lack of being able to make decisions in person. Olivia admits, “it was a little scary to plan a wedding completely online and through email”.
While the nervousness was present it didn’t stop Olivia and Cole from following their hearts. Giving us a full rundown of the day and just how smoothly everything went, we can sense how pleased the couple was with their decision to get married in Cabo. Olivia even gushed, "I am going to recommend a destination wedding to everyone I meet now!!!"
PINK BRIDAL SHOES
Pops of color could be seen throughout their wedding day. The first place where guests got a sense of the adventurous destination wedding that was to come, was in their wedding invitation. With a colorful map that had bright illustrations of the beach, local hot spots, the wedding venue, and more, Olivia and Cole’s family and friends knew they were in for a fun time. Olivia’s pink Converse wedding sneakers matched the background of this wedding invitation map.
With details such as a turquoise ring box and Gucci perfume, Olivia and Cole’s wedding color palette matched the lively vibes of their luxury beach wedding.
EVA LENDEL WEDDING DRESSES
Olivia wore Eva Lendel’s ‘Lindsay’ wedding dress. With a bodice made of crepe satin and adorned in embellishment, this glamorous Eva Lendel wedding dress was perfect for their beach wedding.
The flowy tulle skirt and train blew in the oceanside breeze, as did the tulle bow bridal straps. Olivia even customized her Lindsay wedding dress. Opting for layers of regular tool instead of sparkle tulle, this subtle change matched Olivia’s personal style perfectly. With an intricate corset top and a chic ballgown silhouette, this elegant Eva Lendel wedding dress dazzled all day long.

ORANGE WEDDING FLOWERS
Tropical wedding florals added color to Olivia and Cole’s ceremony as well as their outdoor reception space. Olivia held an orange and pink bridal bouquet with pops of blue. Slim greenery branches stuck out from the arrangement and gave the flowers a fun and organic appearance.
Similar wedding flowers found their way to each circular reception table. Placed in the center of each table, these colorful wedding flowers popped against the white tablecloth and neutral dishes. As guests gathered on the cement dance floor underneath strings of bistro light, these bold blooms stood out in background photos.
PRESSED FLOWER WEDDING CAKE
Flowers of a different style also were present during Olivia and Cole’s cake cutting. Cutting into a two-tier wedding cake with pressed flowers, we loved the simplicity of these chic wedding photos.
Joining their guests back on the dance floor after they cut their cake, Olivia and Cole enjoyed their tropical wedding reception under the stars. “We danced the night away under fireworks and the stars. It was seriously the best day ever and all of our guests would say the same!”
