Trendy and Dramatic Black and White Wedding Reception
A black and white themed wedding never goes out of style. #AnnaBeBride Gabrielle and John’s trendy black and white wedding reception at Artsquest’s Steel Stack’s Musikfest Café combined traditional elements and artistic touches to create a bold reception aesthetic. Below are a few of our favorite black and white wedding details.
Black and White Wedding Color Palette Inspiration
Much of Gabrielle and John’s black and white wedding color palette inspiration came from their desire to reflect their individuality and union in a unique way at their wedding reception. “The black and white concept went far beyond the colors for the day. It plays into our dynamic as a couple, as they say opposites attract. It couldn’t be more true for us and what we were able to come up with for this day.”
Classic Black and White Wedding Attire
Since black and white themed weddings are so bold, couples can usually wear basic wedding outfits and still stand out. Both Gabrielle and John opted for more classic wedding looks with a slight twist that felt cool and contemporary.
Gabrielle’s first reception dress was ‘Ren’ by Katherine Tash. This ballgown wedding dress by Katherine Tash included classic elements like an elegant straight neckline and cascading ruffles. The exposed corset midriff added an edgy appearance that was fitting for Gabrielle and John’s urban wedding venue.
Later in the evening, Gabrielle changed into ‘Chloe’ dress by Katherine Tash. This silver beaded fringe wedding dress was the perfect reception look. Engineered to appear completely backless, Chloe dress moved with ease on the dance floor.
Designer Wedding Fashion Details
Another way that Gabrielle and John added visual interest to their wedding outfit was through wedding accessories. Wearing his and hers black and white Prada loafers, these two were dressed to impress from head-to-toe. For fashion-forward brides who want a flat bridal shoe, relaxed designer footwear like Prada bridal loafers, Chanel wedding flats, or Gucci rubber slides are all popular choices.
Black Mismatched Bridesmaid Dresses
Gabrielle’s bridal party wore traditional black bridesmaids dresses. Choosing mismatched bridesmaid dress styles, the variety of fabrics and designs created dimensional bridal party portraits that felt modern and fresh.
Delicate Black and White Wedding Florals
Gabrielle’s delicate black and white wedding florals were equally moody and enchanting. Holding an oversized bouquet full of white roses and black foliage, this dramatic floral design added an intriguing element of romance. Striking and simple, Gabrielle’s black and white wedding bouquet coordinated with their reception decor.
Edgy Black and White Wedding Cake
Other statement black and white details at their wedding reception included their sleek, black and white wedding cake and exquisite tablescapes. Gabrielle and John’s geometric black wedding cake had a touch of glamour with white roses adorning each tier.
“We concluded the evening on a high note with dancing, singing, and celebrating until we were reluctantly told to leave the dance floor.” From classic attire to modern decor, Gabrielle and John’s wedding reception was full of iconic details, delightful conversation, and of course... epic dance moves.
