An elegant destination wedding in Suffolk, England is just the start of this fairytale wedding day. From a glamorous glitter wedding dress to the opulent orchards surrounding their Tudor mansion wedding venue, #AnnaBeBride Audrey and Nick’s guests enjoyed their elevated English countryside nuptials.
FALLING IN LOVE IN LONDON
After meeting in Denver, Colorado, Audrey and Nick continued to date long distance before Audrey eventually decided to move to London and continue to build their relationship abroad. London proved to be a wonderful place for these two to nurture their relationship and in September 2020, Nick popped the question to Audrey during a romantic anniversary trip to Greece.
DENVER WEDDING DRESSES
Upon getting engaged, Audrey was eager to plan their wedding and especially excited to visit her family back in the states to find the wedding dress of her dreams. "Living in London, away from my family in Colorado, they didn't get to be a part of all the wedding planning. I went dress shopping at Anna Be Bridal with my mom and brother which meant so much to us all."
While browsing Anna Bé Colorado’s luxury wedding dress collection, a particular lace and sparkly wedding dress caught Audrey’s eye. The moment she laid eyes on that glitter tulle wedding dress, she knew it was the one. Fully embracing how special this sparkly wedding dress long sleeve design was, Audrey said yes and began to plan the other details of her fairytale wedding.
BLUSH PINK WEDDING
If you’re wondering how to choose your fairytale wedding theme, picking an enchanting color palette for your details may be a good place to start. Complimenting the silver sparkle of her ball gown wedding dress and bridal tiara with veil, Audrey and Nick select a soft blush pink and ivory color palette.
Almost every element of their luxurious wedding at Hengrave Hall had a pop of pink. Pink wedding table decorations like blush dinner menus and unique wedding place cards could be found on each table.
Wedding papers and stationery weren’t the only elegant pink addition, even Audrey’s bridesmaids wore light pink bridesmaid dresses. With different necklines and silhouettes, these long pale blush pink bridesmaid dresses looked luxurious as they surrounded Audrey’s shiny silver wedding dress. From blush pink and white wedding flowers to a small pink fascinator, the pink color palette complimented the couples’ wedding theme perfectly. "Using the palest of pinks and LOTS of flowers it was romantic and whimsical, a fairytale wedding."
HENGRAVE HALL WEDDING VENUE
There are lots of luxury wedding venues in the UK, but nothing quite compares to Hengrave Hall. Located in Nick’s hometown, this Grade I listed Tudor mansion wedding venue built in 1525, was the perfect setting for their fairytale destination wedding. From getting ready in a bridal suite where Queen Elizabeth I once stayed to serving reception drinks on the west terrace, the sprawling property captured the charm and style Audrey and Nick wanted their spring wedding theme to exude.
Following reception drinks, a three course meal was served in Hengrave Hall's banquet hall. Guests were able to enjoy scrumptious wedding starters like seared scallops and glazed pork belly before digging into their delicious entrées. Spending the evening with good food and great company, Audrey and Nick’s fairytale wedding was full of iconic moments and treasured memories.
