Real Wedding: Emily + Todd

Emily and Todd's barn wedding in Larkspur, Colorado is the definition of rustic elegance! The couple seamlessly blended the Colorado countryside with just a bit of wedding glam. The juxtaposition of the wooden elements and burlap with the crystals and antique lanterns is the perfect way to blend vintage elements with the natural, gorgeous outdoor scenery. After Todd and I got engaged, the first task in the planning process was finding the venue. Since we are both from Cincinnati, Ohio and all of our family and most of our friends would be traveling to Colorado for the wedding, we wanted to get married somewhere in Colorado that showed off the mountains and all of Colorado’s beauty. We also thought it would be fun to have the wedding held in some type of barn or ranch to give it more of a Colorado flair. Even though we wanted to have a barn wedding that had rustic touches, we still wanted the overall feel of the wedding to be romantic and vintage. After searching on the internet, we narrowed it down to a few places (Keystone, Winterpark, Estes Park, and Larkspur), but when my mom and I went to visit Crooked Willow Farms in Larkspur, CO the hunt was quickly over.

We were blown away with how beautiful the whole setting was at Crooked Willow farms. I loved that is was a little red barn nestled in the foothills of the mountains. And when you first come in, you're entering through the brick courtyard which is like something right out of a fairy tale - vibrant flowers everywhere and café lights strewn from the roof. The entire venue has a very elegant and upscale feel even though it is still a rustic barn setting, so it was exactly what we were looking for. And we were able to incorporate some vintage touches to really make it the wedding of our dreams.
