real wedding: jamie + ryan

What better way to start off Valentine's day week than with this romantic Denver wedding of Anna Bé bride, Jamie and her husband Ryan. Jamie and Ryan's wedding, photographed by Linsday B. Photography, was at the J.W. Marriot in Cherry Creek this past November. The deep purple hues incorporated in the flowers (by the wonderful Newberry Brothers), decor and those beautiful centerpieces provided the perfect personal touches to really put this wedding over the top. Jamie looked stunning in her Modern Trousseau { Kensley} gown. Take a look below at more photos of this beautiful Denver wedding!

We asked Jamie some questions about her wedding day and wedding planning process and here is what she had to say!

What was the best part of your wedding day?...

...The best part of our day (for me) was seeing our entire vision come together. My mom and I had spent so much time planning all of the big and little details, and it was pretty magical to see the JW transformed into our dream oasis. Newberry Brothers and LMD did such an incredible job with the flowers and lighting... so much better than I could have ever imagined. As we walked around to different tables, people noticed the details we would put in. I am a chef, and we had arrangements with kale, cabbage, and blueberries in them. Quite a few guests noticed my "food bouquets" - I loved that people could see details of Ryan and me through our wedding decorations.

What did you splurge on for your wedding?...

...I wouldn't say that we really "splurged" on anything in particular. What I did try to do, however, was to pick excellent designers for the things I was unfamiliar with, and let myself take control on the things I felt I could do well. I couldn't have told you a rose from a daisy, so I really let Newberry Brothers take charge of our entire design. I came to the meeting with one picture from Pinterest and no other ideas. Instead of forcing ideas at me, Paula just sat and talked about what Ryan and I were all about. When I mentioned I was a chef, she went to the back and pulled out the most incredible arrangement. It was so "me" and my love of food. I let her take total control from there on out and it was just perfect.

What was your favorite part of finding your gown?...

...The whole experience was amazing. I chose to go to Anna-Be first because the shop is set up so beautifully. I wasn't overwhelmed compared to a lot of other stores. I had my family and close friends there to dress shop, and all of the staff was so helpful in choosing the perfect gown. I ended up choosing something I would have never imagined, and that was in part to my family's helpful suggestions and in part to Anna Bé giving me the freedom to try on dozens of dresses. There was no pressure to like a certain designer or price range... it was all about what looked good on me. It was one of the most calm and enjoyable wedding planning experiences.
