WHAT IS THE BEST MONTH TO HAVE AN OUTDOOR WEDDING?

While some may answer this question differently, it seems September is a popular outdoor wedding month. With mild weather and warmer temps, September is the perfect month for outdoor wedding ceremonies.

#AnnaBeBride Emilie and Zach’s September nuptials held clear skies and crisp air. The sun was shining through the treetops as they walked along the bank of a nearby river. Letting her long train and layered veil trail behind her, Emilie was elegant in her Ines Di Santo wedding dress.

Stopping to take individual wedding portraits and couple portraits together on the grass, Emilie and Zach were all smiles. Zach’s boutonnière and Emilie’s flowers blended with the vegetation nearby. Lush, luxurious, and laidback, this September wedding in Colorado had it all.

INES DI SANTO QUICE

Can we hear a little commotion for ‘Quice’ by Ines Di Santo? Emilie discovered this silk satin strapless ball gown when visiting our Colorado bridal boutique, Anna Be. Liking the look of this full wedding dress, but wanting to change the silhouette slightly, Emilie ordered Quice dress without crinoline.

The detailed corsetry of Quice’s bodice was accented by the strapless tulip top and wide waistband. The gown’s pleated wrap skirt held a hidden high slit that Emilie took full advantage of. Making sure her pleated floral wedding shoes were on display, this flirty slit was another fun element.

HOW DO YOU PLAN AN OUTDOOR WEDDING CEREMONY?

Now that you know a good month for an outdoor wedding, you may be wondering next steps. Finding an outdoor wedding venue is probably one of the first things you should check off your list. For #AnnaBeBride Heather and James, picking a place for their elopement was easy. Both agreeing that Colorado encompassed their love story, they quickly began researching wedding venues.

“Because their love story truly evolved while living in Colorado, they both knew that their wedding needed to be in the Rocky Mountains.” Discovering Dunton Hot Springs, Heather and James loved the grounds and the cozy chapel. Knowing the venue was ideal, Heather and James were eager to wed come September.

HOW CAN I MAKE MY ELOPEMENT SPECIAL?

While the possibilities are endless, Heather and James did an amazing job of creating special experiences for their elopement day. “James and Heather both got massages the day of their elopement and then spent the rest of the morning writing their vows from scratch.”

Other ideas for spending quality time together before your elopement may be sharing breakfast or even helping each other get ready for the big day.

ALEXANDRA GRECCO BRYN

Complimenting the Aspen trees surrounding their intimate nuptials, Heather’s ‘Bryn’ by Alexandra Grecco wedding dress was a dream. The sheer sleeves covered in abstract floral embroidery added to the allure of this long sleeve crepe wedding dress.

The gown’s open illusion back was finished with covered buttons and a dramatic train. In some photos, you can see Heather holding the train as she and James walk down a stone path between cabins.

Making the most of the “moody autumn day with overcast skies and brief rain showers”, Heather and James kicked off married life in scenic nature.
