A mix of clean architectural elements and elegant wedding style, #AnnaBeBride Lisa and Andrew’s destination wedding at Playa Mujeres, Mexico, was a perfect way to celebrate their marriage. Their classic Cancun wedding combined timeless wedding traditions with modern touches. From grand staircase wedding photos, to gathering by the ocean for their outdoor wedding ceremony, countless memories were made at their romantic wedding in Mexico.
LOVE AT SWIPE RIGHT
Swiping right was the first step in Lisa and Andrew’s beautiful love story. Meeting in Manhattan’s West Village soon after, their first date at Buvette in New York led to many more evenings of food and fun. Lisa and Andrew spent the next 10 months having the best time and decided that an apartment together in downtown Brooklyn was the next step in their relationship.
Later, Lisa and Andrew would find themselves making another move together, this time taking them to Denver. They now call Colorado home and love on their pup, Nash, taking in the mountainscapes they traded their beloved skyscrapers for.
HOW TO PLAN A DESTINATION WEDDING IN MEXICO
When it came time to plan their wedding, Lisa and Andrew decided on a change of scenery. Switching out their rocky landscape for bright blue water and sandy beaches, the couple selected Finest Resort in Playa Mujeres, Mexico for their sophisticated beach wedding ceremony and reception.
BEACH WEDDING SEATING IDEAS
Their chic Caribbean wedding ceremony took place under Playa Mujeres’ ‘Stone Gazebo’. This modern gazebo wedding venue overlooked the ocean and felt tropical with manicured bushes and palm trees surrounding three sides of the space. A cement walkway separated by stone pebbles led up to the main gazebo that was made of white stone and had a wood tiled ceiling. The sides of the gazebo were open, allowing the sea breeze to cool the space for guests. Sitting in white folding chairs and facing the minimal altar in front of a white sand beach, this modern beach wedding venue was enchanting.

When looking for a luxury wedding dress in Colorado, Lisa came to Anna Bé Bridal Boutique Colorado. Visiting with a friend, Lisa first discovered the fitted crepe wedding dress that would soon become the lightweight beach wedding dress of her dreams. Ultimately selecting ‘Lindsay’ by Rebecca Schoneveld, this sheer corset bodice wedding gown with embroidered flowers was an ideal mix of feminine bridal style and contemporary wedding fashion.

BRIDAL BOUQUET IDEAS
Complimenting the fun flower pattern on the top of her wedding dress, Lisa paid close attention to her wedding bouquet and bridal earrings. The unique bridal bouquet had white roses, light pink flowers, branches, and pampas grass.
Matching the whimsical nature of this neutral tropical wedding bouquet, her sparkly drop earrings were a flower shape, similar to the design on the gown’s bodice. Finishing off the look with a long tulle veil, Lisa’s final touches brought this simple modern wedding dress to life.
TEA LENGTH BRIDESMAID DRESSES
Lisa’s bridesmaids wore light pink dresses with skinny straps and a scoop neckline similar to her own. These midi length bridesmaid dresses were perfect for their minimalist beach wedding and were comfortable. Many of Lisa’s bridesmaids wore neutral block heels or white mule sandals and simple gold or pearl earrings.
In their hands, each bridesmaid held a miniature version of Lisa’s lush wedding bouquet, tying the whole bridal party together. As they posed on the resort’s marble staircase for photos, you could easily see how excited each friend and family member was to be a part of Lisa and Andrew’s big day.
Ending the day with a stroll through a garden walk covered in floral vines, Lisa and Andrew relaxed in the presence of each other. Embarking on this new chapter of life, they looked back on the memories that led them to this special time and place.
