Throwback to the middle of winter in Minneapolis, Minnesota. When the cold days freeze together like one long icicle itching for a slice of sun. The kind of brutally blustering day that has you daydreaming about a tropical escape. Somewhere scalding, where sand finds its way into every crack and the only thing frozen are the cocktails at your poolside cabana. While our winter didn’t involve a Caribbean trip close to this vision, our styled wedding shoot at The Whim most certainly did.
From neutral terrazzo floors that resemble tiny shells on a beach to palm leaves that served as dessert table decor, this tropical wedding photoshoot in Minneapolis was so much fun. The bright florals, with pink and peach tones, compliment the floral appliqués throughout this soft a-line wedding dress. With illusion tulle adding to the elegant nature of this lightweight beach wedding gown, 'Justina' by Dany Tabet could fit right in on the pebbly shores of the French Riveria.
Speaking of France, the bubblegum pink French macaroons look just as delicious as the dried orange slices adorning this colorful wedding cake. Even the decadent banquet table was overflowing with sherbet hues and nectarine place cards. The brown woven wedding placements a welcome pop of neutral color among all the tangerine touches. Fresh fruits, flamingo pink invitation suites, and unfiltered romance are the shining stars of this darling destination wedding photoshoot.
