From the desk of anna & breanna | lace obsession

It’s September and for one of us at anna bé {that would be Breanna} it’s officially the month of her wedding! The pressure is on for a wedding dress when you own a shop. And while we’re not going to give away what the dress is {yet}, we can tell you that it is a lace dress. We know that lace is not for everyone, but lately there seems to be more of it in the bridal world.  This trend got us wondering what makes lace so special.

It’s timeless – lace has literally been a presence in the fashion world since the 15th century.

It’s fluid  - lace manages to go from formal to casual in the blink of an eye.

It’s unique – there is no one type of lace, any openwork fabric with a pattern can be classified as lace and there is an endless variety of patterns, types, and styles.

It’s romantic and lovely – lace evokes a feeling of grace, femininity, and classical beauty that is epitomized by Grace Kelly.  If lace is your look, here’s four of our favorites {all lace yet all so different!).
