Alright girls, we all know you have a crazy number of places you can go for info on planning the big day, in fact most of the wedding industry is geared towards you! I love the fact that brides have gotten so web savvy and really celebrate one of the most important days in a woman's life. But what about that guy standing next to you, yes him. He's 50% of the bridal party, and he deserves a little attention too. So, here are some great resources for the guy who popped the question:
:: Groombug from Junebug ::
This website has done a great job making the wedding process simple, easy to understand, and practical. Probably the most bride friendly, as it comes along with a fantastic blog for inspiration, including tons of photos, tips, and color palattes
:: The Plunge ::
It may be the one he gets the most into. Very straight forward, snarky enough to appeal to his "this is girl stuff" side while still getting across his job, and that he's a part of the wedding too! Warning: it may give him ammunition to call you out should you slip into Bridezilla territory.
:: Wedding Planning for Men - ICBE ::
For those of you who have a groom who simply won't take it seriously (but that's kinda what you love about him) The International Center for Bathroom Etiquette (I couldn't make this stuff up if I tried!) has written 10 basic steps for getting married. And despite the jovial tone, it's a good crash course in keeping your man on track when it comes to all things wedding.
Don't be afraid to point him towards great men's magazines online. I was particularly impressed with Esquire's wedding style coverage, and GQ has some nice advice as well. But for the big planning pieces, just cruising through a classic bride-focused wedding blog with him at your side is still the best way to check the big pieces off the list.
