Deconstructing the Dress: Jim Hjelm 8500 // Rose Ballgown

Jim Hjelm Style 8500 is arguably the best wedding dress from the October bridal market (at least according to anna bé stylist, Leanna). We're so excited that the Jim Hjelm collection is coming to Denver and here's why she adores a gown that frankly deserves a much better name than "8500."

We saw a rose colored ballgown on plenty of runways, but this was such a refreshing take. With the addition of a huge embroidered rose on the skirt and bodice and the ribbon across the waist, the traditional ballgown silhouette transforms into a romantic, unique gown perfect for the bride looking for something truly special!

We also had the chance to hear directly from designer, Hayley Paige, about her inspiration for the Jim Hjelm style 8500 gown. Hayley describes:  It is an iconic circle-cut ballgown silhouette from the 50's with a hint of modernity. The floral embroidery was hand-drawn and derived from the outline of a stained glass rose.

If you're in love with this look as much as we are,  make sure to set up an appointment with a stylist for when anna bé presents the Spring 2015 Jim Hjelm Collection January 30-31st!
